Compare
Ledgerstone and Stratafolio
A fair comparison of what each product is for, so you can tell before a sales call whether it fits.
Ledgerstone isn’t a cheaper version of Stratafolio. It’s a narrower product built around a different priority.
If you need work orders, investor portals, maintenance management or broader property operations, a broader platform may be the better fit. If your priority is commercial lease administration, expense recovery, CAM reconciliation and a workflow configured around QuickBooks Online, that’s where Ledgerstone is focused.
Scope
Where each one puts its weight.
| Capability | Ledgerstone | Broad all-in-one platform |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing basis | Portfolio size | Feature tier + per-unit |
| Feature access | Everything included | Tier dependent |
| Accounting posture | Works with your existing structure | Platform-defined structure |
| Focus | Lease administration + recovery | Broad property operations |
| Tenant portal and payments | Included | Typically included |
| Work orders | Not included | Typically included |
| Investor management | Not included | Typically included |
| CAM recovery | Core | One capability among many |
Every row is a statement of current scope, not of quality. A capability Ledgerstone does not have is listed as not included, because it isn’t.
Four questions that decide it
- Is the CAM reconciliation the reason you’re shopping, or one item on a list? If it is one item, breadth will probably beat depth for you.
- Would you have to change your chart of accounts? Ask both vendors directly. The answer tells you who is adapting to whom.
- Which tier includes CAM reconciliation? On tiered platforms it is commonly a mid-tier capability, so the entry price you see advertised may not be the price for this workflow.
- Can it show the math eighteen months later? When a tenant disputes a figure, can the system show how it was reached, or does someone rebuild it?
On price
What the comparison can and can’t say.
For a portfolio using Ledgerstone’s core recovery workflow, portfolio-based pricing can cost substantially less than a per-unit platform.
Whether that holds for you depends on your unit count and which tier you would need. It is worth checking that CAM reconciliation is available on the tier you are pricing — on broad platforms it is commonly a mid-tier capability rather than an entry-level one, so the headline entry price may not be the price for this workflow.
Verification
Competitor figures last verified: not yet verified
[pending] No competitor price figures are published on this page until they are re-derived from the vendor’s live pricing page, dated, and linked. Quarterly re-verification is an owner process. Publishing an unverified figure on the one page whose entire strategy is credibility would cost more than the comparison is worth.
